Toni’s Kitchen Unveils New Workspace at Grand Opening Ceremony and Community Open House
Toni's Kitchen officially opened its new 5,000 square feet of workspace in a ceremony and community open house at St. Luke's Church on Saturday, May 20. Volunteers and supporters of Toni's, members of the St. Luke's vestry and local dignitaries were all in attendance. The opening of this new space is a key component in helping Toni's Kitchen meet our goal of creating a food secure community in the next 3-5 years.
The new space in the basement of the church sanctuary provides areas to prepare and pack food for distribution, as well as storage space for dry goods and canned food. A new walk-in refrigerator and freezer will keep dairy, produce and meat fresh for the more than 60 community partners who help Toni's distribute food to those in need in our community.
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the Growth for Good donors who made this space possible, the support of our community partners, and the dedication of our volunteers.
