Toni’s Kitchen Summer Love Feeds Kids!

Did you know that 1 in 6 children in our community won't get the nutrition they need this summer? Without the availability of subsidized school meals, low-income families have a difficult time providing healthy food for their kids. As a result, they often turn to inexpensive, calorie-dense foods that lack nutritional value. Over a period of time, this diet can lead to childhood obesity, Type 2 diabetes, asthma and heart disease. That's why Toni's Kitchen is proud to offer food insecure families a Healthy Backpack full of nutritious foods every week.
