Toni’s Kitchen Proud to Serve at Montclair Pride 2023 Festival

Downtown Montclair was jammed with thousands for this year's Montclair Pride 2023 festivities on June 10 to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. Toni's Kitchen was proud to serve the event with our "Toni's Grill" food truck right in the middle of the festivities.

Rich Brown, a Toni's Kitchen volunteer and Advisory Committee member, leads the TK food truck program and was very busy managing the big crowds. During the day, about 450 people enjoyed food and drink from the truck. 19 volunteers worked at the truck during the event. All told, 90 pounds of chicken, 150 pounds of fries, 60 pounds of burgers, 70 gallons of water and 185 pounds of ice were used throughout the day.

Many of our regular guests of the food truck from different areas of town came to the Pride event location for food. Donations we received at the festival will go to operating the truck and help provide funds to keep the truck serving guests all throughout the community.

In the weeks following the Montclair Pride event, our food truck also served guests at the Hillside School Juneteenth picnic and also served at a private party. (If you're interested in hiring the "Toni's Grill" truck for your event, send us an e-mail at tonisgrill@toniskitchen.org.)
