The Bravitas Group and The Silver Family Foundation Donation Match A Huge Success!

During the recent government shutdown that left over 60,000 households in Essex County (including 47,000 children) without SNAP benefits, Toni's Kitchen was so grateful for The Bravitas Group and The Silver Family Foundation, who generously stepped forward with a special $118,000 matching gift challenge to double donations. Due to the amazing response by our community, the match was met! The donations from our supporters and the match from The Bravitas Group and The Silver Family Foundation meant that our neighbors were able to have the food they need in the critical period when SNAP benefits stopped.

To every neighbor who gave—thank you! From the Montclair Knitting Circle who donated proceeds from their annual sale at the Montclair Farmers’ Market, to the joyful Shromrei Emanunah Preschool children who contributed their tzedekah with such open hearts, you each played a part in lifting up our neighbors at a moment when it matters most. Your gift was doubled, and together we strengthened our community’s ability to care for one another.
