“Summer Love” Food Programs Are In Full Swing

xx

During the summer, Toni's Kitchen knows that local children who rely on subsidized school meals may lose access to consistent nutrition now that the school year is over. Our "Summer Love" food programs for local children are underway. These programs are intended to help our neighbors who we see every day—medical support staff, school bus drivers, those caring for our aging parents, preschool teachers, and grocery store clerks—meet the most basic needs of their families.

We are working with local libraries, parks, camps, and teen programs to integrate healthy meals and snacks into their daily programming, and our mobile markets bring fresh produce and groceries directly into neighborhoods. We also distribute non-food items that can be costly yet essential—like sunscreen, swim diapers, goggles, and first-aid supplies—because summer well-being is about more than just healthy food.

We know the need is greater this summer due to the sharp increase in the number of families seeking food assistance and the signficant reduction in our government-funded food supply. You can support our Summer Love Campaign by donating here. Thank you for your continued support and for standing with Toni's Kitchen in this vital work.
