NJ Community Kitchens Coalition

Toni's Kitchen is a proud member of the NJ Community Kitchens Coalition (CKC), a collaboration uniting nine organizations across New Jersey that also includes Eva's Village, Paterson; NourishNJ, Morristown/Dover; Elijah's Promise, New Brunswick; LunchBreak, Red Bank; Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Trenton; Cathedral Kitchen, Camden; Vineland Soup Kitchen, Vineland; and Sister Jean's Kitchen, Atlantic City.

Launched in July 2020 as the NJ Soup Kitchens Group as a resource for organizations providing meals for the food insecure during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Coalition evolved to adopt the use of "community kitchen" to better reflect the group's work and spirit. Member organizations focus on securing sustainable funding, sharing resources to reduce costs, and working collectively to influence state policies and programs. As the demand for food continues to grow, this collaboraton will strengthen our capacity to feed more people and address food insecurity more effectively.

We are grateful to our other Coalition members for their shared commitment to building food security, as well as to the NJ Food Security Access Fund, private funders, and state agencies for providing the meaningful resources to fuel this critical work.
