Java Love Coffee Roasting Company and Toni's Kitchen are teaming up to sell freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for a great cause–helping to keep Montclair families and children from going hungry. These amazing cookies, made with love at Toni's Kitchen, are available for sale at Java Love's three Montclair locations: 244 Bellevue Avenue, 49 Church Street, and 39 Glenridge Avenue. Proceeds from the sales of the cookies will go to Toni's Kitchen to support our programs that help ensure access to healthy food for residents of Montclair, Bloomfield and West Orange.

Jodie Lawson, Co-Founder and President of Java Love Coffee Roasting Company, is thrilled wth the project. "What a great way to spread a bit of love in our community," she said. Toni's Kitchen has seen growing numbers of local families struggling to afford healthy food, especially fresh produce. "Food insecurity in the suburbs tends to be hidden," said Anne Mernin, Executive Director of Toni's Kitchen. "Preschool workers, delivery drivers, retail clerks and home health aides all rely on food support to provide financial stability in high cost of living suburbs. This is a delicious way to keep them strong."

The project is the brainchild of Cary Chevat, a Montclair resident who tasted the cookies at a reception at Toni's Kitchen. "After one bite, I knew this was an opportunity to share with the community and support the great work of Toni's Kitchen," Cary said.

Java Love has been a staple for Montclair coffee lovers since its first store in town opened in 2013. The Cookie Project amplifies Java Love's longstanding commitment to community, donating a portion of profits to local nonprofit and community outreach programs since its inception.
