“Rock Voices Montclair” Fundraiser for Toni’s Kitchen a Rockin’ Success!

On Saturday, January 17, the "Rock Voices Montclair" group, the area's only community rock choir, presented a program of classic and modern rock and pop songs with a professional band to raise funds for Toni's Kitchen. The evening was a big success as the event raised $3,000 for Toni's Kitchen!

The concert was held at the John Walker Middle School in Nutley, and consisted of the group's greatest hits, including songs by the Beach Boys, Ozzy Osbourne, Supertramp, Sly & the Family Stone, Cyndi Lauper, James Taylor, The Bangles, Earth Wind & Fire, and more. The members of "Rock Voices Montclair" vote on which organizations to donate the proceeds from their concerts to, and Toni's Kitchen got the most votes from the members.

Carol Costello, events coordinator for Toni's Kitchen, was on hand to speak to the crowd about the work of Toni's Kitchen and to receive the ceremonial check with the donation from the event.
