Join Our “Summer Love” Campaign And Help Families in Our Community with Summer Food Need

Summer Love is upon us! As warmer weather sets in, we want to ask for your help with a challenge our community faces, and to share how Toni’s Kitchen plans to address it through the Summer Love Campaign.

While summer brings sunshine and smiles, it also creates an underappreciated increase in food insecurity among children. At Toni’s Kitchen, we believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, especially our children. When school doors close in June, Toni’s Kitchen seeks to bridge the gap for local children who depend on school lunch. Our plan is to:

• partner with local summer camps, libraries, teen programs, and more to provide healthy meals;
• send our Toni’s Grill food truck to serve hot meals at local playgrounds, parks, and gathering spots where children play;
• use our Neighborhood Mobile Markets to make fresh produce available to families who might not have access to healthy food;
• deliver groceries to those unable to visit us; and 
• ensure families have summer essentials like sunscreen, swim diapers, goggles, etc.
