MLK Day of Service Draws Many to Toni’s Kitchen

The Martin Luther King Day holiday is a time when the nation pauses to remember Dr. King's life and work, but also to honor his legacy by making the holiday a day of community service, “a day on, not a day off.”

As always, the community came out in force to Toni's Kitchen for this year's Martin Luther King Day of Service on Monday, January 21.  Here's justa  few of the good deeds that the MLK Day of Service brought to Toni's Kitchen this year:

Hillside School students did a food drive and gathered financial donations…

The Montclair High School basketball team came by and did lots of project work for us…

And kids delivered packed backpacks…

Thanks to everyone who came by and made fighting hunger in our community a part of their Day of Service!
