Town-Wide Food Drives
Toni’s Kitchen runs regular Town-Wide Food Drives in the Montclair area as an easy and safe way for people to donate shelf-stable food to Toni’s Kitchen.
During our Town-Wide Food Drives, people sign up to participate, then leave donations of shelf-stable food on their front porch, or in front of their homes. Toni’s sends a driver on that day to come and pick up the donation. The pickup is contactless.
The Food Drives take place several times a year. Toni’s Kitchen sends out notices of the next upcoming Food Drive well in advance through our Facebook page and through our e-mail list. In the notice is the link for people to sign up to participate.
What kind of food do we need for our Food Drives? We need shelf-stable food within the expiration date, which can include:
- Breakfast items
- Pasta Sauce
- Rice
- Tuna
- Peanut Butter
- Soup
- Nuts
- Dried Fruit
- Canned Beans
Living in an Apartment building? Please make arrangements for us to pick up in the lobby or at the front entrance.
At this time we are able to pick up in Montclair, Bloomfield and Glen Ridge. If you live in another town, please participate by dropping food off at Toni’s Kitchen.

Donate Clothing
Toni’s Kitchen welcomes donations of in-season new or gently used clothing. Through Toni’s Closet, we provide access to quality clothing for a wide variety of food insecure populations. For those without housing or in unstable housing, Toni’s distributes warm sweatshirts, socks, and outerwear regularly after our dining room meals. We also regularly provide families with free clothing distributions during grocery distributions.
Some donations are sold at very low cost through Toni’s Closet, where families and students can choose clothing most appropriate to their needs and preferences. Proceeds from sales at Toni’s Closet help support the food ministry of Toni’s Kitchen.
Please note we do not take the following items: pillows, mattress pads, books for adults, child car seats, cribs, electronics, furniture, hangers, medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.), office equipment, office/school supplies (used), sports equipment, stuffed animals, toys (used).
We are so grateful to our community for the generous donations we receive. We thank you for your donations.
Donate Toiletries, Diapers, Cleaning Supplies

Our guests deeply appreciate access to items like: dental care products; bath soap; shampoo/conditioner; deodorant; period products; diapers (both children’s and adult’s); laundry detergent; household cleaning products.
We always welcome donations of these items and are so grateful to our community for the generous donations we receive. We thank you for your donations.
